Conclusion:

In this project, we have learnt a lot about the natures in Longkeng Ecological Reserved Area. We studied about the formation of the coral tablelands features as well as the rich variety of the wildlife when gathering information. Moreover, we tried hard to use the GPRS system to convert the satellite images. Besides, we now understand how to construct a good questionnaire. They all are not an easy task. We experienced in it a lot.
After our evaluation, we believed that the geology is the most attractive to tourists. And among those unforgettable experiences, insects can win the largest number of votes. Nearly all interviewees like Longkeng Ecological Reserved Area. Most of them would like to visit there again.
In conclusion, most people are impressed by the geology and insects in Longkeng Ecological Reserved Area. It is reasonable that Longkeng is a attractive, scenery and educational tourist attraction.
Anyway, Longkeng Ecological Reserved Area needs tourists to protect and reserve, taking away only memories and photos. Then, the environment can be kept and this special place will always be an attractive place.

Evaluation and Explanation:

From the above, we can know that Longkeng Ecological Reserved Area is featured with unique erosional coral tableland landforms and ecology. But we wanted to know that which aspect and objects there impressed tourists most. Therefore, we constructed a survey about Longkeng Ecological Reserved Area for those who have joined the Taiwan field trip. During 28-30/4/2010, our group collected 28 pieces of Questionare.

For “Which aspect in Lonhkeng Ecological Reserved Area impressed you most?”, we found that geology was the most impressive. (41%) Next is climate (32%). Scenery got the third place (12%). Foral has been rated the forth (9%). The faunal occupies the least, with only 3%. We guess it is because we can hardly find any type of coral tablelands in Hong Kong. It is the first time we can see those special type of landform. Also, due to the coral tablelands, many amazing erosional land features with the dry chinook wind increase the attractiveness (#5).The climate is not too hot due to the wind. Very few interviewees agreed that fauna is the most impressive since we didn’t saw much wildlife. Most of them are plants and only a small number of birds and insects appeared in the reserved area. Therefore, we cannot remember them well. As a result, not many of them choose this choice.

From the chart ‘The least attractive thing in Longkeng Ecological Reserved’ and ‘The most attractive thing in Longkeng Ecological Reserved’ show that insects are the least and the most attractive among the 7 aspects. We guess the reason is that not everyone loves insects. Girls may afraid of them while boys may interested in it very much. Therefore, it get these oppositing rates but it is not contradictory. The waves is the second most attractive things. Since it is rare to see such a big wave in Hong Kong unless under typhoon, there are quite a number of them love the white and beautiful waves. The chinook wind is the second least and second most attractive things either. We guess this is because the chinook wind is special which can hardly be found in Hong Kong so it may be attractive. But it is not easy to withstand such a strong wind. One of our tour member felt sick in this tourist attraction. Therefore, it may not be so attractive to some of our interviewees. As a result, it is rated both the second highest and second lowest positions respectively. Generally, the rates are equally distributed. None of the choices get especially high rates. It may show that things in Longkeng Ecological Reserved are all attractive.

According to the chart ‘To what extent do you want to visit Lonhkeng Ecological Reserved Area?’. We find that everyone want to visit Lonhkeng Ecological Reserved Area since nobody choose 1 and 2. Most of the interviewees choose 4. It means that they want to visit there but there are no extremely strong intention . But this chart shows that Longkeng Ecological Reserved Area is attractive to tourists and most of the visitors like this place.
